Assault outside Chapeltown pub – did you see anything?

Police in Sheffield are appealing for witnesses to a reported assault outside a pub in Chapeltown last month.

At around 11.30pm on Friday 22 December, police received reports that a 19-year-old man had been assaulted outside the Waggon and Horses pub in Market Place, Chapeltown.

The man was taken to hospital with serious head injuries.

From their initial enquiries, officers believe there was another assault inside the premises a short time prior to the 19-year-old man being assaulted outside.

The victim of the first assault is yet to make contact with police and officers are keen to speak with them to understand the circumstances surrounding this incident.
