Doncaster murder investigation - man named

Police have today (Friday 26 May) named the 38-year-old man who died in Doncaster last week.

Mark Simpson’s body was found at a property in James Street, Doncaster, at around 7.45am on Monday 15 May.

A post mortem examination concluded Mark died as a result of internal injuries.

Enquiries are ongoing and officers remain keen to hear from anyone who may hold information about the incident.

Last week a 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder and a 26-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assault. They have both been released under investigation while enquiries continue.

Police have issued a public appeal for information following the death of a man in Doncaster on Monday.

At around 7.45am on Monday 15 May, emergency services were called to a property in James Street, Doncaster, where the body of a 38-year-old man was found.

A post mortem examination concluded the man died as a result of internal injuries and as such, his death is being treated as suspicious.

A murder investigation is underway and officers are carrying out enquiries in the local community. Earlier this week, 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder and a 26-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assault.
