A 29-year-old man from Sheffield who preyed on vulnerable victims has been jailed for more than six years for two counts of burglary.

Adam Rotherforth, of Lupton Road, Lowedges, was sentenced at Sheffield Crown Court yesterday (Thursday 11 January) to six years and eight months for the offences which took place in December 2016 and January 2017.

Investigating officer PC Paul Jenkinson, from Sheffield Performance Crime team, said: “In the first instance, Rotherforth tricked an elderly lady into letting him into her Batemoor home.
