Motorcyclist seriously injured in Sheffield collision – did you see anything?

Officers are appealing for witnesses following a collision on Wordsworth Avenue on Friday 1 December.

At around 8.05pm it was reported a black Superbyke motorcycle and silver Vauxhall Mokka had collided on Wordsworth Avenue at the junction with Southey Hill, Sheffield.

It is believed the Superbyke motorcycle had been travelling along Wordsworth Avenue towards Herries Road, went it was involved in a collision with the Vauxhall Mokka travelling in the opposite direction up Wordsworth Avenue. The Vauxhall Mokka is thought to have been turning onto Southey Hill from Wordsworth Avenue at the time of the collision.

The 20-year-old man riding the motorcycle sustained a life threatening head injury in the collision and currently remains in hospital receiving treatment.

An investigation is ongoing and any witnesses who saw the collision are asked to call 101 quoting incident number 929 of 1 December.
