Woman dies following collision in Sheffield

A woman who was left with serious injuries following a collision in Sheffield last month has sadly died as a result of her injuries.

Margaret Cooper, 74, from Sheffield, was involved in a collision with a red Kia Picanto on Blackstock Road at around 6.20pm on Friday 26 January, as she began to cross the road.

Mrs Cooper was taken to hospital with serious head injuries but passed away on Wednesday 7 February. Her family continue to be supported by officers and have asked that their privacy is respected at this difficult time.

The driver of the Kia, a 54-year-old woman, was not injured in the collision.

Officers investigating the incident continue to appeal for witnesses to come forward and anyone who saw what happened, or who saw the car prior to the collision, is asked to call 101 quoting incident number 889 of 26 January 2018.
