About Jacqueline

Jacqueline Bland joined South Yorkshire Police in 2010, and took up the role as the Director of Resources in April 2020.

She has portfolio responsibility for Corporate Finance, Facilities Management, Information Technology, Procurement, Vehicle Fleet Management, People and Organisational Development and Business Change & Innovation.

Prior to taking up this role, Jacqueline was the force’s Director of Business Change and Temporary Head of IT, and previously led on the creation of the IT Shared Service between South Yorkshire Police and Humberside Police.

Before joining South Yorkshire Police, Jacqueline worked for the local authority for more than 20 years, during which she worked with the Home Office to create the 101 service for Sheffield, which was the forerunner for the national service.

Jacqueline has a degree in social science - majoring in politics – and also has qualifications in project and programme management.

Jacqueline is married and has two children. Her interests outside of work include reading, keeping fit and socialising.
