Detectives investigating an incident in which shots were fired at a house in the Cantley area have released CCTV images with the hope of identifying the man pictured.
At around 3.05am on Sunday 1 July, a man riding a pushbike approached a house on Acacia Road, carrying a gun, before going into the front garden and firing two shots at the house.
Damage was caused to the downstairs windows of the house but no one was injured in the incident. The man is then thought to have left the area heading towards Everingham Road.
Detective Constable Craig Benn, investigating, said: “At this time, we are treating this incident as targeted and as our enquiries continue I’d like to ask for anyone with information to come forward, and in particular anyone who thinks they may recognise the man in the images.
“While I appreciate his face is not clearly visible, you may recognise the bike, or have seen someone riding a bike in the area earlier that evening or in the early hours of the morning.
“Any information, even if it may seem insignificant to you, could prove vital in helping us to identify the man in these images who we need to speak to in connection to what happened. If you saw or heard anything suspicious, or have any information, please call 101 quoting incident number 149 of 1 July 2018, or speak to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.”
