Officers are appealing for witnesses and information following an assault in the Bramall Lane area of Sheffield in the early hours of this morning (Sunday 27 May).
Just before 2.20am officers responded to reports a man had suffered stab wounds on Cherry Street, Sheffield.
The 38-year-old suffered stab wounds to his leg and chest in the incident and was taken to hospital, where he currently remains in a serious but stable condition.
Enquiries are ongoing to understand the exact circumstances of the incident and Queens Road at the junction with Bramall Lane and Asline Road currently remain closed.
Anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the incident is asked to report it via 101 quoting incident number 135 of 27 May. Anonymous information can also be given to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
