Officers in Barnsley are asking for your help to reunite a 75-year-old man with sentimental items taken after his home was broken into.

Sometime between 11.30am on Thursday 11 April and 9.45am on Monday 15 April, his home on Saltersbrook Road, Darfield, was broken into after the offenders smashed a downstairs window.

Around 20 Lilliput Lane figurines were stolen, valued at around £2,000, in addition to a HP Printer and digital camera. Three of the figurines are larger, one of which is the ‘Lady Windermere’ figure and the two others are train stations.

The figurines are collectors’ items, which mean a lot to the victim, and officers are asking for your help to find them.

Did you see or hear anything suspicious in the area between the times mentioned? Have you seen the figures for sale anywhere in the area?

If you can help, please call 101 quoting incident number 157 of 15 April 2019. You can also speak to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
