Detectives investigating an armed robbery at a Sheffield supermarket have released CCTV images as they appeal for witnesses.

At around 8.25pm on Sunday 24 March, two men entered the co-op store on Greengate Lane, High Green, reportedly carrying a hammer and a pickaxe.

The men are said to have threatened staff and a customer inside the store, before stealing cash from the till and leaving on foot towards Newton Road.

No one was injured in the incident but those inside the shop were understandably left incredibly shaken by what happened.
