Elderly woman victim of robbery in Sheffield

Officers are asking for your help after an 87-year-old woman was the victim of a robbery in the Gleadless area of Sheffield. 

At around 4.40pm on Wednesday 6 March, the woman was walking along Jaunty Avenue, after leaving the co-op store. 

She was reportedly approached from behind by a man who pushed her into the bushes before stealing her shopping bag. 

The man, described as white, in his mid-20s and about 5ft 8 – 5ft 9ins tall, then ran back along Jaunty Avenue heading towards Lister Avenue. 

He is described as being slim, clean shaven and wearing a navy blue duffle/parka coat with toggle fasteners on the front.
