Officers in Doncaster are appealing for witnesses after a woman suffered serious facial injuries following an altercation at a mini market.

At around 12pm on Wednesday 2 January, three people inside Khoshnaw Mini Market, on St Sepulchre Gate West, are said to have started fighting.

A 36-year-old woman inside the shop has then tried to break-up the fight, during which she has had an item thrown at her, causing a large cut to her face.

The woman was taken to hospital to be treated for her injuries, which required an operation.

Police want to hear from anyone who was in the shop and has not yet spoken to officers, or who has any further information about what happened.
