Two arrested following death of woman in Doncaster

Detectives investigating the death of a woman in Doncaster have arrested two men in connection.

At around 1.50pm yesterday afternoon (Friday 22 March), emergency services were called to Whitegates Caravan Park, Station Road, Dunscroft following reports that a vehicle had been in collision with a 52-year-old woman at the entrance of the site.

The woman was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. Her family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers. Formal identification will take place over the weekend.  

Following the collision, the vehicle left the area. A red Citroen Berlingo was recovered a short time later and police are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen this vehicle driving between Dunscroft and Wadworth following the incident.

Two men, aged 19 and 17, have been arrested on suspicion of murder in connection to the woman’s death and currently remain in police custody.

Officers will remain in the area carrying out enquiries today and are keen to hear from anyone who saw what happened, or who has any information about the vehicle involved.
