CCTV released after Rotherham care home burglary

Police investigating the reported burglary of a residential care home in Rotherham have released CCTV stills of a man they believe could hold vital information. 

It is believed that at around 3am on Thursday 28 February, persons unknown forced entry to the Church View care home in Church Street, Rotherham, causing damage to a window. 

It is understood that the suspects removed a safe from the premises, which contained bankcards and money belonging to care home residents. 

One of the bankcards was later used numerous times between 3am and 9.35am on 28 February. 

Police believe the man pictured could hold vital information and are appealing for him, or anyone who recognises him, to get in touch. 

Officers are also keen to hear from anyone who may have seen or heard suspicious activity around the care home overnight between Wednesday 27 February and Thursday 28 February.
