Three arrested in connection to Rotherham assault

Three men have been arrested and are being questioned in connection to an assault reported last night (Wednesday, 18 April) at around 7pm on Wellgate in Rotherham.

A black one series BMW is reported to have pulled up and three men got of the car, approaching a black Audi A3.

The driver of the Audi, 19-years-old, is then reported to have been pulled from the car and punched in the face. He also sustained a stab wound to his back.

One of the three men is then alleged to have smashed the Audi’s windscreen, before getting into the BMW with the other two men and fleeing the scene.

The 19-year-old attended hospital to be treated for his injuries.

The three men, two aged 24-years-old and a 26-year-old, remain in police custody at this time.
