- Two jailed for over six years for their part in Mexborough stabbing. Dominic Boswell, 25, formerly of Belmont Street, Doncaster, appeared before Sheffield Crown Court on Tuesday 18 December, where he was jailed for two years for section 20 assault and Class B drugs offences. Appearing alongside him was a 16-year-old Doncaster boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, who was jailed for four and a half years for section 18 wounding with intent. During the incident, in May earlier this year, a 23-year-old man suffered stab wounds while in the Mexborough area.

- Tasking team recover £200k cannabis in proactive warrant. Officers found and seized an estimated £200k of cannabis during a warrant carried out in the Sprotbrough area. The 275 cannabis plants were discovered at an address on Meadow Croft and seized under the Misuse of Drugs Act. Megi Rrahman, 24, was charged with production of cannabis following the warrant.

- Over the last week, officers across the district, along with staff from Doncaster Council, have carried out a week of action, tackling crime and keeping the town safe in the run up to Christmas. A number of arrests were made, cash seized and fines issued for a variety of issues including parking offences, litter and breaches of the town centres Public Space’s Protection Order. Two people were also charged for begging in the town centre and bailed with conditions not to enter that area.

- Our officers in Doncaster also received a special delivery, from a group of students at Sheep Dip Lane Primary School in Hatfield.
The students wanted to thank officers who are working throughout December, over the festive season and into the New Year, and so sent them some lovely handmade Christmas cards.
