A 15-year-old old boy charged with the murder of Samuel Baker in Lowedges last week has been remanded to a Youth Offending Institute after his appearance at court today (Tuesday, 29 May).
The teen, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at Sheffield Crown Court this morning, following his appearance at Sheffield Magistrates’ Court yesterday (Monday, 28 May), charged with murder.
He will next appear at Sheffield Crown Court for a Plea and Case Management Hearing in June.
Samuel, 15, was taken to hospital on Thursday, 24 May, after he was stabbed in the Lowedges area of Sheffield at around 7.50pm that evening.
He died an hour after arriving at hospital, with a post-mortem examination later revealing the cause of death as stab wounds to the chest.
Officers are continuing to appeal for information in connection to the investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact 101 quoting incident number 829 of 24 May.
