Appeal for witnesses following robbery of pensioner

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after an 82-year-old man was robbed. 

At around 4pm on Monday 12 August, the man was leaving a post office on Station Road in the Blaxton area of Doncaster when he was approached by a man holding a spike-like weapon. 

The suspect demanded the victim’s bag then left in a red VW, driving down Station Road in the direction of the Station pub. 

Officers are now appealing for anyone with any information which may help their investigation to come forward.
