Two charged in connection to Sainsbury’s armed robbery

At 9:30pm on Sunday 23 June, officers were called to the Sainsbury’s Local store on Bradway Road in Sheffield, following reports of an armed robbery. 

It is believed that a 19-year-old man entered the store and brandishing a sword threatened the staff member at the till and demanded money. The teenager waited outside the store.

It is reported the man took around £1000 in cash from the till. 

Bradley Hickman,19, of Edmund Close, Lowedges has been charged with robbery and possession of a bladed article. 

A 15-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons has been charged with robbery.
