Police were called to an address in Exeter Drive at around 4am this morning (19 December 2020) to reports that shots had been fired and a man had been injured.
Police and paramedics attended the scene and an 38-year-old man was taken to hospital via ambulance with injuries to his leg consistent with firearms discharge, and a stabbing.
An investigation has been launched and a cordon remains at the scene whilst officers conduct their enquiries. Additional patrols are in place in the area to provide reassurance to the local community.
Anyone with information that might help our investigation is asked to come forward.
