Officers are urging the public to help them identify two women they’d like to speak to in connection with the theft of an elderly woman’s purse at a Sheffield shopping centre.

On the 29 January, a 81 year old woman was shopping in Iceland at Crystal Peaks, when her purse was reportedly stolen from her bag.

Officers have now released CCTV footage of two women who they think might have information about what happened.

PC Rob Lockwood said: “The victim was left incredibly upset by the incident, her purse was taken whilst she was reaching for an item on the supermarket shelves.

“If you have any information about what happened, please do get in touch with us, it’s important that we trace these two people who might be able to help with our enquiries.”

Please call 101 with any information quoting crime reference number 14/25284/20.
