Officers from our Roads Policing Team are appealing for the driver of a Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) to come forward and assist them with their enquiries in connection to reports of a fail to stop on the motorway.
On 4 March around 1.30pm it is reported that a black Peugeot and a HGV collided on the M1.
The driver of the HGV failed to stop at the scene of the incident. The driver and passengers of the Peugeot were uninjured but shaken.
Officer investigating Natalie Booler explains more, she said: “We are appealing for the driver of the HGV to come forward and assist us with our investigation, or for anyone who witnessed the incident to provide us with information.
“It is likely that the HGV vehicle returned to its place of work with significant damage.
