Did you witness Maltby collision

Our Roads Policing officers are appealing for information following a collision on the A631 near Maltby earlier today (Monday 2 August).

At around 11.40am, a blue Skoda Octavia Scout, was travelling from Tickhill to Maltby along the A631 when it reportedly left the carriageway 500 yards prior to the entrance of Maltby Colliery and collided with a tree.

The driver of the Skoda, a 67-year-old man from Maltby, is believed to have suffered a medical episode at the wheel.

Ambulance crews transported him to hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.

Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision, or the movements of the Skoda prior to it leaving the carriageway, to contact them.
