Police appeal for witnesses following assault in Sheffield

We were called at around 9:45pm on 6 December to reports of criminal damage and assault at an address in Mowson Crescent, Worrall.

It is reported that four men armed with a machete and a wrench smashed windows at the property and caused damage to a motorhome and car parked outside. The occupant of the address, a man in his 70s, went to confront the offenders when they assaulted him, causing him to suffer serious injuries.

We are now appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
