Two new arrests in search for missing Richard Dyson, from Barnsley

Detectives investigating the disappearance of Richard Dyson from Barnsley have made two further arrests.

Today (Thursday 16 December), two men from Barnsley, aged 46 and 48, were arrested on suspicion of murder and have since been released under investigation as enquiries continue.

Richard, aged 58, was last seen by his daughter on Friday 15 November 2019. After he missed their next arranged meeting, she reported him missing on Monday 25 November. A missing person investigation was launched, and enquiries established Richard was last seen on Sunday 17 November at about 11pm, walking along the A6135 Sheffield Road in Hoyland.

In March of this year, three men aged 43, 51 and 68, from Barnsley, and a 67-year-old man from Rotherham, were all also arrested on suspicion of murder. They all remain released under investigation as further enquiries continue.
