Appeal for witnesses after man stabbed in Barnsley street

Officers in Barnsley are appealing for witnesses following a stabbing this morning (Wednesday 14 July).


At about 8.55am police responded to reports of an altercation on Dodworth Road.


On arrival at the scene, officers discovered a 27-year-old man with stab wounds. They were taken to hospital.


A man and a woman, aged 27 and 28 respectively, from the Barnsley area, have been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.


Officers are now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward and anyone who was in the location to check their dashcam footage for anything that could help the investigation.
