Officers in Rotherham have made a third arrest in connection with shots fired in Rawmarsh yesterday (Thursday 22 July).
Police were called at 2.09am following reports of shots being fired at a junction between Kilnhurst Road and Lime Tree Crescent.
There were no reported injuries and enquiries are ongoing.
A 36-year-old man from Rotherham was arrested in connection to the incident and has since been released on bail.
A 46-year-old man has also been released on bail following his arrest. A 34-year-old woman has been released under investigation.
Detective Chief Inspector Paul Murphy, from the Armed Crime Team said: "Our officers will remain in the area while we continue our investigations. If you see an officer and have any questions or concerns, please know they are there to support you and will be happy to answer your questions.
“As we continue our investigations it's vital that those with information come forward to report it. We are doing everything we can to bring those responsible to justice but your support is vital.
