Officers believe he could have vital information about an incident in which a cyclist was injured in Sheffield last month.

On the morning of Monday 5 April, a man in his 50s was cycling along Penistone Road towards Shalesmoor roundabout when he reported being pushed off his bike by another cyclist.

He suffered serious injuries as a result of the incident.

Investigating Officer Steph Sales said: “The victim was on his way to work at around 9.15am, when he became aware of another cyclist approaching him from behind. As the second bike passed, the victim believes he was pushed, causing him to fall off his bike and into the road.

“He suffered some really nasty injuries, including two broken arms and broken teeth, and it has also left him very shaken.

“Our enquiries mean we can now release a CCTV image of a man we would like to speak to about what happened, we think he might have information about the events of that morning.

“If you recognise him please do get in touch, you can call 101 quoting crime reference number 14/55091/21 or submit an online report via our website.”
