Witness appeal after collision in Sheffield involving cyclist and truck

Officers in Sheffield are appealing for witnesses to a collision involving a cyclist and a truck on Shalesmoor.

Yesterday (Monday 20 September) at about 4.20pm, it is reported that a cyclist and a truck were involved in a collision. The cyclist, a man aged in his 20s, suffered serious leg injuries but is stable in hospital.

Officers are now appealing for anyone with information, or who was in the area at the time and saw or heard anything suspicious to come forward.

Simon Cook, the officer leading the investigation, said: "We have already had a couple of witnesses come forward, but we are looking for further witnesses to fully piece together what happened."

Anyone with information which could assist with our enquiries is asked to call 101, quoting incident number 624 of 20 September.
