We are appealing for witnesses after five high value watches, a number of pieces of jewellery and a sum of cash were taken during a burglary on Pringle Road in the Brinsworth area of Rotherham on Friday 7 January.

It is reported that at just before 8.10pm the victim returned home and entered the property at which point two men in balaclavas threatened him with a screwdriver and metal pole.

The victim wasn’t injured in the incident.

The two men then made off with a large amount of cash as well as the watches and jewellery. The items were carried out in a pillowcase.

The watches, which are pictured, along with an engagement ring (also taken), are described as being of the following make and model:

• Rolex Yatch Master
• TAG Monaco 1860
• TAG Mclaren SR
• TAG Monaco
• TAG SR 300

The TAG Monaco 1860 watch is limited edition (only 1,000 were made) and therefore is easily distinguishable.

Detective Sergeant Andy Charleston of Rotherham CID, said:

“This was a very distressing incident for the victim and I would appeal to anyone who witnessed anything and / or has dash cam footage of any suspicious activity in the Brinsworth area around this time to get in contact.

“I would also ask anyone who is offered one of these watches for sale to get in contact with police.”
