Police appeal for witnesses following assault in Sheffield

Police are appealing for information following an assault on Bolsover Street in Sheffield.

It is reported that on Saturday 11 December at around 10.20pm, a male student was walking down Bolsover Street, near to the Arts Tower, when a passing vehicle has thrown an item at him.

The unknown object has hit the victim in the face causing serious, life-changing injuries.

Since the incident, extensive enquiries have been undertaken, but officers are now asking for your help.

DC Ollie Hobson, the officer leading the investigation, said: “This is a busy area frequented by students in the evening and therefore someone may have seen or heard something which could be of assistance to the investigation.

"I am wanting to speak to anybody who may have been in the area at the time and may have witnessed this vehicle committing the crime in question, or doing anything similar to others.”
