E-fit released in connection to Doncaster bogus official investigation

Officers investigating an incident in which an elderly man was conned out of thousands of pounds in Doncaster have released an e-fit of a man they would like to identify.

Between Friday 30 March and 8am on Sunday 8 April, a man is reported to have attended the home of an 87-year-old man on Stonehill Rise, Doncaster, and offered to carry out urgent roofing work for a quantity of cash.

The man is said to have returned to the address almost daily and made further demands for cash, despite not carrying out any maintenance work.

Around £12,000 has been taken in total and detectives investigating the incident have now released an e-fit of a man they would like to trace.
