Witnesses to Wath collision urged to come forward

Officers are appealing for witnesses to come forward following a collision in the Wath area of Rotherham in which a 22-year-old man suffered a serious head injury.

At around 8.40am this morning (Friday 17 August), officers received reports of a collision between a blue Kia Venga and a pushbike on Quarry Hill Road, at the junction with Sandygate Road.

The 22-year-old man, from the Rotherham area, who was riding the bike was taken to hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

The driver of the Kia was not injured in the incident.

Officers are asking anyone who saw what happened to call 101 quoting incident number 202 of 17 August 2018.
