Man and woman injured following Rotherham collision

Officers are appealing for witnesses after a car collided with two pedestrians on Quarry Hill Road in Wath-Upon-Dearne.

At around 11pm on Friday 28 December, a black VW Jetta was travelling along Quarry Hill Road when it hit a stationary Ford Focus C-Max and then hit a 24-year-old man and a 21 –year-old woman who suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries. 

It was reported that the car then made off from the scene. A 27-year-old man has since been questioned and enquiries are ongoing.

Police want to hear from anyone who saw what happened, or who saw the vehicle prior to the collision occurring.
