Detectives are asking if you recognise the man in the e-fit image, who they want to identify after a young couple had threats made towards them to have their car taken.

At around 12.15am on Sunday 15 July, the man is said to have approached the couple, who were parked in the McDonald’s car park on Thorne Road, and demanded they opened the door, saying he wanted to take their car.

The man made further threats to the 24-year-old man and 19-year-old woman but no one was injured.

The man, who spoke with a local accent and is described as carrying a yellow River Island bag, then left the area with another woman and the couple drove off.

As detectives continue with their enquiries, they have now released an e-fit image, and are asking anyone who thinks they know who the man could be to get in touch.

If you think you know who he is, or have any information about the incident, please call 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111 quoting incident number 11 of 15 July 2018.
