An investigation was launched after police received reports on Sunday night (10 June), that a firearm had been discharged on Central Drive, at around 10.40pm.

Damage was caused to the downstairs window of a house on the street and to an Audi A4 parked outside.

Investigating the incident, Detective Constable Christian Borum, said: “Thankfully, no one was injured in the incident, which we are treating as targeted.

“Since it was reported to us we’ve been carrying out extensive enquiries to identify those responsible but we’re still keen to hear from anyone who has not yet come forward with information.

“We know that a dark coloured saloon car was seen driving away from the area shortly after the incident occurred and I’d like to speak to anyone who thinks they may have seen the car in the area.”
