Witnesses sought to Sheffield robbery

Police have issued a CCTV appeal following the reported robbery of a shop in Sheffield earlier this week.

At around 7.05am on Monday 12 March, it is reported that two men carrying weapons entered the Co-op in Lees Hall Avenue, Sheffield, threatening staff.

A quantity of cigarettes and cash were taken during the robbery.

While the staff members were not injured, they have been left shocked and upset by the incident.

Police have released CCTV images of the two suspects and would like to hear from anyone who may hold information.

Officers are especially keen to hear from anyone living locally who may have seen the suspects in the area, as it is understood they left the scene carrying a red plastic bin.
