Detectives investigating two robberies in Sheffield, at a post office and a bank, have released CCTV images in connection to the incident.
Just after 9.30am yesterday morning (Tuesday 29 January), two men on a Suzuki motorbike pulled up outside of the Royal Bank of Scotland, Church Street, as a security worker was entering the building with a cash box.
One of the offenders made attempts to steal the cash box but was unsuccessful. He stole a bag before leaving on the motorbike with the other man, heading in the direction of the Park Square roundabout.
Around an hour later, just after 10.30am, the same two offenders are said to have stolen the cash box from a delivery driver outside of a post office on Stradbroke Drive, Sheffield.
Detective Sergeant Wayne Price, investigating, said: “Thankfully, no one was injured in either of these incidents and no weapons were used.
“Both of these incidents occurred in busy areas and no doubt there were people who saw what happened or who saw the motorbike pictured prior to the incidents occurring, or just after.
“We’d like to hear from anyone with information. Did you see what happened? If you can help, please call 101 quoting incident number 996 of 29 January 2019. You can also speak to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.”
