Did you help a woman at Frenchgate in Doncaster?

Officers are appealing to find a man who helped a woman outside McDonalds at Frenchgate Shopping Centre in Doncaster on Saturday 6 April.

It is reported that at 9am that morning a 31-year-old woman had been assaulted by a known man on Cleveland Street. The woman managed to flee and ran towards Frenchgate Shopping Centre where a stranger stopped to help her and ensured the man stopped chasing her.

The woman is described as being slim, approximately 5ft 6ins tall, blonde hair and was wearing a blue top and skirt. She was extremely distressed but believes the man shouted ‘Leave her alone’ to the man chasing her.

The suspect who was chasing the woman is described as being 6ft 2 ins tall, of a muscular build with a shaved head. He left Frenchgate in a taxi.
