- The Proactive Police Team published results from an extensive search operation at HMP Lindholme. The operation, the first of its kind in South Yorkshire, saw staff from the SYP team, Her Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service and staff from HMP Lindholme joining forces to disrupt criminality inside the prison and seize illegal items.
A number of weapons and other prohibited items were seized and a number of illicit trafficking routes closed down.
 
- Allen Tunney, 35, from the Shaftholme area of Doncaster, was arrested and charged with Section 18 wounding, in connection to an incident committed earlier this year. He has been remanded into custody to appear before court on Friday 11 January 2019.
 
- Officers in CID are continuing their investigations into two robberies in which gold jewellery was stolen. The incidents occurred on Thursday 29 November and Monday 3 December. Chief Superintendent Shaun Morley, Doncaster District Commander, issued an appeal and public reassurance messages and over the weekend, officers from the local neighbourhood team carried out crime prevention meetings in the local area. Anyone with information is still asked to call 101 quoting incident number 929 of 29 November 2018 or 767 of 3 December 2018.
 
- Local officers are aware that residents in Doncaster have raised concerns around speeding. This week, numerous speed monitoring sessions have taken place, in areas including Cantley and Rossington. The speed of hundreds of vehicles were checked and further monitoring sessions are scheduled to take place over the festive period and in to the New Year.
