Man charged with Barnsley murder in court

A Barnsley man charged with the murder of 73-year-old Jill Hibberd in the Wombwell area last week, has been remanded into custody following his appearance before Barnsley magistrates today (Monday 4 June). 

Lee Trevor Fueloep, of Willow Garth in Wombwell, charged with murder, burglary and theft of a motor vehicle, has been remanded into custody until his next scheduled court appearance. He is due before Sheffield Crown Court at 2pm on Thursday, 7 June. 

Miss Hibberd was found dead at her Roy Kilner Road home at 7.45am on Thursday.

A post mortem examination concluded Jill died as a result of multiple stab wounds. 

Officers are looking for a red Audi TT, registration number YM17 SYJ, which was taken from the driveway of Miss Hibberd’s home at around 9pm on Wednesday night, 30 May.
