Teen bailed in investigation into death of Sheffield teenager

A 16-year-old boy arrested in connection to the death of Samuel Baker in the Lowedges area last month has been released on bail.

The 16-year-old arrested on suspicion of murder earlier today (Friday 29 June), has been released on police bail as enquires continue.

On the evening of Thursday 24 May, 15-year-old Samuel was taken to hospital after he was stabbed on Lowedges Road at around 7.50pm. He died as a result of stab wounds to the chest an hour after arriving at hospital.

One boy, aged 15, has already been charged in connection to the teenagers death and is currently awaiting trial later this year.

Officers remain keen to hear from anyone with information about Samuel’s death and anyone who can help is asked to call 101 quoting incident number 829 of 24 May.
