- Three charged with firearms offences
Three men have been charged with possessing a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence, threatening a person with an offensive weapon and possession of an offensive weapon in connection with two reported incidents in the Hexthorpe area on Friday 8 and Saturday 9 June.
At around 3.15am on 8 June, it was reported someone had tried to break into a property on Ellerker Avenue, Hexthorpe. The following evening, at around 1am, police received reports three men armed with a knife and what was believed to be a gun, made threats towards the owner of the property before making off in a red Volvo.
Emir Tzourtzi, 23, of Cintra Park, London, Hasa Klevi, 20, of no fixed abode and Kevin Paloko, 24, of Challice Way, London, were charged with the offences on Sunday 10 June and remanded into custody until their appearances before Doncaster Magistrates’ Court on Monday 11 June.
- Arrests made in stabbing investigation
A 49-year-old man and six teenager boys, two aged 18, three aged 17 and one aged 15, have been arrested following an incident in which a 28-year-old man suffered stab wounds in Mexborough.
At around 10.30pm on Monday 11 June, emergency services responded to reports a man had been injured following an altercation between a group of people known to each other on Dryden Road.
The 28-year-old was taken to hospital where he remains in a stable condition.
An investigation remains ongoing and anyone with information is asked to report it via 101 quoting incident number 1057 of 11 June.
- Officers investigating reports a quantity of cash had been stolen during a burglary at a property on Jubilee Road, Wheatley, on Tuesday 22 May, have arrested a 39-year-old woman in connection with the incident.
The 39-year-old has since been released under investigation as enquiries continue.
- Woman arrested on suspicion of attempt murder
On Saturday 9 June officers arrested a 37-year-old woman on suspicion of attempt murder, following an incident in which a man suffered serious injuries.
At around 7.30pm, emergency services were called to a flat in Nether Hall Road following reports that a 25-year-old man had suffered a serious head injury. The 37-year-old was taken to hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.
The 37-year-old has since been released on police bail as enquiries continue.
