Man charged in connection to burglary and driving offences, Barnsley

A 34-year-old man has been charged with two counts of burglary after houses in the Bolton-on-Dearne and Kendray areas were broken into.

Sometime between 30 April and 1 May, a house in The Crescent, Bolton-on-Dearne was broken into with bank-cards, cash, car keys and an iPad stolen.

On 19 May, a house in Chestnut Crescent, Kendray, was also broken in to with electronic tablets and items stolen along with a handbag containing bank-cards and a car key.

Matthew Philip Wiggett, of no-fixed-address, has been charged in connection to both incidents. He is also charged with one count of theft of motor vehicle and one count of driving without insurance, relating to the break-in at the house in Bolton-on-Dearne.

Wiggett will appear before Barnsley Magistrate’s Court today (Monday 21 May).
