With just days to go until Darnall’s Lantern Parade, Sgt Lee Kaighin from the Local Policing Team is hoping to see much of the local community at the event this Bonfire Night (5 November).
The parade will start at 4pm on Monday at High Hazels Academy who have organised the event, and there will be a range of entertainment including local dance acts and other performers, until 6pm. Refreshments will be available from the school.
There will also be entertainment for teenagers at the Darnall Education Centre and the Darnall Community Development Centre.
Sgt Kaighin continued: “This promises to be another great evening with fun for all the family and we’re looking forward to seeing everyone having a good time and enjoying what will hopefully be a lovely autumn evening.
“Last year’s parade was a great success and the support we have had from residents, businesses, community groups and the local authority is just fantastic.
“Events like this show the very best of Sheffield’s community spirit and we are proud to be a part of that.”
There will be a number of read closures in place around the Stainforth Road area during the event.
