E-fit released in connection to distraction burglary of elderly woman, Hatfield

Police investigating an incident in which an 83-year-old woman was visited by two bogus callers at her home address, are asking for your help to identify the man in this e-fit image.

The woman was at her home address in Thorne Road, Hatfield at around 4.15pm on Friday 19 October, when two men purporting to be police officers entered her house.

The suspects have searched the house whilst asking if she had any valuables in the property. Both suspects have been disturbed and then fled empty handed.

It is reported that a black Volkswagen Golf was seen in the nearby area at the time of the offence.

PC Nicola Blewitt said: “We’d like to hear from anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious on that Friday afternoon. An e-fit has been created of someone I wish to identify, who I believe may be involved in this matter.

“Also I wish to appeal for anybody with any CCTV or dash cam footage, who may have been in the area at the time.”
