Detectives investigating an incident in which a 73-year-old woman had a number of possessions taken from her home address are asking for your help to identify the man in this e-fit image.

The woman was at her home address in Wheatley at around 7.30pm on Thursday 18 October, when she answered the door to two men purporting to be workers needing to check the water in her home.

One suspect has asked her to watch the tap in the kitchen while the other checked the taps in her bathroom. Once the men had left her home, the woman has found that jewellery and cash was missing from her purse.

One of the suspects is described as a white man, aged 28-30 years of stocky/medium build. He is believed to be 5’7 - 5’8ft tall with short light hair, with a local accent. He was wearing jeans and a blue top.

PC Jane Keightley said: “We’d also like to hear from anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious on that Thursday evening. If you can help, please call 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111. Please quote incident number 860 of 18 October 2018.”
