A 19-year-old man will appear in court tomorrow charged in connection to an incident in which a 34-year-old man suffered a stab wound to the head.
At around 2.35pm on Thursday 18 April, it was reported that the victim had been assaulted on South View Road and the windows of his vehicle smashed.
He was treated at hospital for a stab wound to his head.
Bassan Khan, 19, of South View Road, has since been charged with section 18 wounding with intent, possession of a bladed article and criminal damage in connection to the incident.
Khan has also been charged with possession of a controlled drug of Class A.
He has been remanded into custody to appear before Sheffield Magistrates’ Court tomorrow morning (Thursday 25 April).
Last Thursday’s incident is one of a series of four in the Nether Edge area over the Easter weekend that detectives are investigating. They remain keen to hear from anyone with information.
At around 11.10pm on Monday 22 April, two men aged 18 and 26, suffered stab wounds during an altercation on Abbeydale Road. They have since been discharged from hospital.
The third incident occurred in the early hours of yesterday morning (Tuesday 23 April), at 2.50am, when shots were fired at a house on Edgedale Road. Damage was caused to a window and no one was injured.
Shortly after, police received reports that the windows of a property in South View Road had been smashed.
