A 26-year-old man has been charged and remanded into custody in connection to an incident in Sheffield in which a taxi driver was the victim of a knifepoint robbery.
At around 10.30pm on Monday 15 April, it is reported that a taxi driver picked up a man and a woman from an address in Shiregreen, driving them to Dykes Hall Road.
The man is said to have threatened the driver with a knife and made demands for cash, reportedly stealing about £150.
No one was injured in the incident.
Aaron Hammond, of Wansfell Road, Sheffield has since been charged with robbery and possession of an offensive weapon in connection to the incident.
Hammond appeared before Sheffield Magistrates’ Court on Saturday 20 April and has been remanded into custody to appear before Sheffield Crown Court on Monday 20 May.
