Doncaster man charged with robbery and drugs offences

A 26-year-old Doncaster man has been charged with robbery and drugs offences following an incident in which a teenager was threatened.

Just after 9pm on Saturday 23 February, it was reported that a man approached a 19-year-old man at a bus stop on Cleveland Street, threatening him with a knife and demanding cash.

A small amount of cash was handed over by the victim, who was not injured.

Darren Humphreys, 26, of Broughton Avenue, Bentley, has since been charged with robbery and possession of Class B drugs in connection.

He appeared before Magistrates’ Court on Monday 25 February and has been remanded to appear before Sheffield Crown Court next month.
